I have walked into Poland! Somehow, I had no idea that you could simply stroll over the bridge here in Görlitz and find yourself in Poland. Granted, I only ventured into the country for 10 minutes and several meters. Apart from the trip to another country, I am surprised by the discrepancy between quite a few decayed houses and the for the most part wonderfully restored old town of Görlitz. At breakfast, I had an interesting conversation about this with conservator Rayk.
